Adventure Related Highlights

• Racing since 1999 (Hi-TEC NYC). Haven’t stopped since. Too many events completed or competed to list. Expeditions are my favorites. Been to Primal Quest, Appalachian Extreme, Gulf Coast Conquest, Eco Challenge NAC, PHEAR, Mega Dose and an annual trip to Beast of the East since 2002.
• Highlight finishes: Overall win at the Endorphin Fix and second place at Beast of the East in 2005. First prize money at Gulf Coast Conquest in 2003. Woohoo! Won some other 12 hour and sprint races and points series along the way too (Sproute, Genesis, UGMAR, SVO 6-hour Rogaine etc.)
• Survived: North Georgia Adventure Race 2003 (5 below at the start) and the Ultimate Adventure Series 2004. Expect the unexpected (expletive deleted)!
• Directed/Staff: Directed NYARA’s The Longest Day in 2005-2007 and The SHAG 2006. Have instructed at several NYARA navigation clinics (field and classroom). Served as course test dummy and staff for Balance Bar NYC 24 hour events in 2003 and 2004. Volunteer coordinator for 2003 edition of NYARA’s The Longest Day.
• Favorite AR Discipline: Navigation
• Detested AR Discipline: Gear Check
• Favorite Event: CNYO Snowgaine. (2 days of Navigation. No Gear check. $40. Travel by any means you desire. That's some fun.)
