Where to begin?! The volunteers! Fantastic, everyone knew their job and was happy to be out there doing it. Thank you so much for your time and effort. You don't know how important it is to see your smiling faces at the CPs!! Chris, Matt, Rich!! You guys ROCK!! A mere coupla weeks after the Adrenaline Rush and you pull off the BEST RACE YET!!!! I loved it, every blinkin', lactic acid soaked minute! Thank you for showing us all how to push the edges! NYARA has truly changed my life!!

Chris and the many volunteers,
This was my first real foray (other than this year's Hi-Tec) into adv. racing - it was awesome!! I am *so* hooked! Thanks for all your hard work!

Chris,
Thanks for a great race. It was a tough and fun course. I never realized there was that kind of terrain that close to New York City.
That was the first time we have raced together and were very excited to get 3rd in such a tough race.
Thanks again for a great race,
Mike Hennon

To NYARA
Thank you for a wonderful race this weekend and at the Saddle & Paddle. We are looking forward to the Expedition Ohio! The volunteers did a great job at the checks, before and after race logistics. Hope you keep the races coming.

Hey Chris,
You said I was going to thank you for this at the top of Bear Mountain, and at the time I didn't quite believe it. I was in more pain than I think I have ever been in my life (and I am still suffering), but I only remember how great the race was. THANKS! For everything. I have had more fun since I joined NYARA than I ever thought possible. Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate it.

Thanks for a fun day, even with a DNF, we had a great time. Your work, and that of all the volunteers, is noticed and appreciated. Hope to see you next year (preferably after finishing the race).

How's 14:35 sound? Actually, we'll take a DNF.
We had a little problem with CP 3 (found it after 2 hours and 45 minutes) and more of a problem with CP 4. Based on the trampled ground by the stream, we knew we found the haystack, but after an hour and 45 minutes searching for the needle, we thought we were better suited for eating sandwiches under the tent. They were excellent by the way.
Hope to do better next year. Thanks again for offering TLD, it was a blast.

I'd like to post a quick note to mention the great job done by the NYARA and it's group of volunteers for the effort in it's one day (14hr) adventure race called the longest day. The disciplines of a multi-day race packed into one day. A great next step from a Hi-Tec.
Once again, thanks to all.

Just wanted to say congrats to NYARA for a fun race on Saturday. Chris, Rich and Matt did an outstanding job from course design to logistics. And thanks to all the great volunteers that showed up and did great in some pretty oppressive heat. For those of you who had only done shorter Hi-Tec type races and wanted to use the Longest Day as an introduction to something longer, I think you got your money's worth.
