- Clinic #1: At this clinic, you will have the opportunity to evaluate your fitness and performance level and learn how to test yourself to see if you are predisposed for an injury. Also, there will be a discussion on how much training will be necessary for your upcoming racing season.
- Clinic #2: Incorporating your fitness evaluation into a training program.
This clinic will teach you how to develop your training program to strengthen
weaknesses, address injuries and work on overall fitness. There will also be a discussion on some common soft tissue injuries prevalent in adventure racing:
Achilles/Soleus sprain/strain
ITBand Syndrome
Patella/Femoral Syndrome (Knee pain)
Groin Strain
Piriformis Syndrome
Sciatica
Low Back Pain
We will discuss how these pathologies occur and what needs to take place to resolve and prevent these injuries from coming back.
- Clinic #3: Using the concrete jungle to prepare you for the natural jungle! At this clinic you will learn how to training in a controlled, stable environment to prepare you for a chaotic, destabilized environment. This clinic will focus on using equipment found in the gym to help prepare you for an adventure race.
