April Fool's Rogaine

Harriman State Park - Bear Mountain, NY
2 April 2005

Teams of 2 or solos will travel by foot and bike throughout the vast acreage of Harriman State Park searching for controls. You will travel along the parks roads. There will be 4 separate drop-off areas where teams will enter the woods w/ a new map for that area. These areas will be staffed so you needn't worry about your bike. Road or mountain bikes welcome!

Each control will have a point value. Teams must strategize in determining which controls to go after and still make it back before the cut-off. Teams arriving late will have points deducted from their total: the highest valued control for each minute beginning at 6:01pm MY time!! It *WILL* be humanly possible to get all the controls, but the Powers That Be are betting against it. The sweet thing is that you can do as much of the course as you like! The course will be friendly at all levels 'cos YOU pick the CPs to go after!
