The Scoop:
Checkpoints are scattered in the woods over a wide area. Each control will have a point value. Teams and solos must strategize in determining which controls to go after and still make it back before the cut-off. The sweet thing is that you can do as much of the course as you like! The course will be friendly at all levels 'cos YOU pick the checkpoints to go after!

A pre-printed map of the area showing the checkpoint locations (Scale 1:24,000) will be given to each team member. You may also want to have a copy of the NY/NJ Trail Conference maps for Harriman State Park (available at EMS and the NY/NJ Trail Conference website.).

A Wee Poem About The Event:
A year has past, since we last played the fool in the woods. He's been kniving long, and now has gone to great lengths to fool you all. You'll find this year a different sport where thinking will be needed. Don't forget your PEN, you'll need when the CP's you will visit. The one that wins may not be, the one who visits the most. You'll find out soon enough, at the briefing as the FOOL lets the cat out.
